Sikh migrants’ perceptions of well-being in Córdoba, Argentina
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article analyzes the factors which, from the perspective of a group of tradesmen of Indian-Sikh origin who own retail bazaars in the city of Córdoba, affect their social well-being. Specifically, these migrants use the economic practices observed by other merchants from China, who also own bazaars in the city, as a benchmark for evaluating their own conditions of production and social reproduction. The paper uses information from an ethnographic study undertaken in downtown Cordoba.
