Teoría de los juegos y política comparada: nuevas perspectivas y viejas preocupaciones

Resumen


Este artículo ofrece una evaluación comprensiva de la teoría de los juegos la cual considera tanto sus principios teúricos, que extienden la teoría de la elección racional a las decisiones interdependientes, como su uso de una metodología formal. Identifica algunos puntos fuertes e importantes de la teoria de los juegos, pero también analiza algunas deficiencias. Sugiere que los estudiosos de la política comparada deberían tomar en consideración las nuevas perspectivas que ofrece la teoría de los juegos y hacer uso de sus puntos fuertes, pero sin perder de vista una serie de viejas preocupaciones de las ciencias sociales que la teoría de los juegos no analiza.
