Neo-Pentecostalism as an object of research and analytical category
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study reflects on the construction of Neo-Pentecostalism as an object of study and on the use of the concept as an analytical tool. To this end, it presents the origin of the term and the religious movement, identifies its limitations and scope and analyzes the link between the category and the theory of secularization. Lastly, it seeks to regard Neo-Pentecostalism as charismatic evangelical, a religious movement that is different from Pentecostalism, which can be studied from a dual perspective-both sociological and historical.
