Gender violence and public denunciation at the university
Main Article Content
Abstract
Gender violence in the university context is studied from the sociology of denial to understand the phases from personal, social and institutional silence to the struggle for recognition undergone by women affected by gender violence in order to file their complaints with judicial and academic authorities. This article describes the experiences of four students who submitted public complaints at the National Autonomous University of Mexico from 2011 to 2014, one involving the sexual harassment of a student by a professor and the others dating violence.
