Abstract

The Revista Mexicana de Sociología, founded in 1939, is the oldest of its kind and one of the most renowned in Latin America for its academic quality. Its uninterrupted publication throughout its history reflects both the changes in the theoretical and empirical development of sociology in over seven decades and the most outstanding social problems of each period.
