Transportation and rural-urban articulation of an intermediate Mexican city
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article aims to analyze the relevance of transportation systems in the territorial restructuring of Mexican intermediate cities. In particular, it studies the transformation of a rural area near the city of Queretaro, known as Navajas-Galera, where two recent modes of transportation of persons have arisen, facilitating mobility between the region and the city. Through a systemic methodological approach, where the unit of analysis surpasses the city limits, it shows that both modes of transportation create new forms of articulation between rural and urban areas.
