Polivictimization in elderly Mexican women
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article describes the experiences of violence and poly-victimization of elderly women in Mexico and their associated factors. Two out of 10 have suffered partner violence in the last year (physical/sexual) and/or from the people with whom they live (neglect, physical and emotional violence). The socio-demographic and contextual associated factors depend on the type of violence. Analyses that jointly present experiences of violence in different areas should be avoided. The article shows the link between violence in adulthood and that experienced
in other stages of life.
