The “short-cycle” of the Chilean student movement: Sectoral conflict or systemic questioning?
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article proposes an understanding of the Chilean student movement from two converging elements: an analysis of consequences that neoliberal policies have had for the class structure, and an analysis of the legitimacy achieved by the movement. A key finding is that the Chilean student movement did not advocate sectoral demands only but questioned the social character of the state.
