Sexual consent: An analysis with a gender perspective
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to argue that sexual consent is a social phenomenon with a gender framework that collaborates with male domination by reproducing the dichotomous active male/passive female model. The phenomenon gives women the responsibility for setting limits on male advances, and which are culturally naturalized and manifested as inevitable. The text presents and discusses the main theoretical currents on the basis of which research on sexual consent is researched. It also illustrates the everyday nature of the phenomenon, with reference to expressions drawn from the popular repertoire.
