Young Argentine NiNi’s: Containment networks and coping skills
Main Article Content
Abstract
The main purpose of this paper is to describe and understand the relationship existing between the inactivity of NiNi Youth (young people who do not work or study) between the emotional and affective states that influence to their capacity to cope with everyday life and also to establish social links that provide containment. This purpose is based on the assumption that social inequality generates psychosocial rifts that tend to intensify and consolidate it. Two overall rates measuring the two dependent variables were constructed: attitudinal and relational deficit. The data are drawn from a survey of 4 426 young people aged 18 to 25 years, with a representative, probabilistic and multistage sample.
