Upper class, management and public function in Argentina
Main Article Content
Abstract
In 2015, the victory of the Cambiemos alliance meant the arrival of prominent managers of large companies and heirs of patrician surnames to the highest public function. Based on the analysis of interviews with secretaries, undersecretaries and national directors,
as well as on documentary sources, this article explores the formative, labour and socialization experiences of those who make up the national cabinet. It aims to describe the socio-political characteristics that gave rise to, and are expressed in, the government of Cambiemos, while documenting the conceptions about the social world of a privileged sector of Argentine society.
